The Kawasaki Z750

Has its love it or else look, someone said to me, its a like a big Transformer.

Transform its does on the road, whether you need this scoot as daily commuter

or freeway cruiser and twisty fang beast,  the Kawasaki Z750 could be the machine for you.

Its one of those greatly underrated packaged bikes, with all its great Kawasaki trademark

specs and feel.

Its a a terrific ride and very comfortable, the seat could be a touch softer on the cheeks,

but this can be looked into later.

Seating position, at first glanced once seated is the Tacho and bars-no view of

petrol tank at all, it's very upright with wide handlebars , but not stretched out-so you

have plenty of give to move around in the seat if needed when approaching

twistys or heavy traffic conditions.

Bike was riden in some windy conditions and felt very stable head on and side on during

a test run and was impressive considering the lack of front fairing.

Your legs tuck under the molded tank(for your legs/knees) and peg position seem perfect

and you can hang on tightly when turning the throttle to get away from traffic if needed.

Riding it, I was at ease from the start, with its seating position(new to nakeds), first few

turns into the twistys the kawasaki Z750 reminds you that there is very few tights turns

as this bikes handles them with ease able to twist the power on earlier than you would be

use too, and its very smooth gearbox makes shifting gears very neat when needed,

some twisty sections tested the front suspension, but I am sure a few tweaks of the front end

rebound and preload and a little touch of the rear spring would be great for the rider and bike.

The scaled down Kawasaki Zx9 engine has a great history of power and bullet proof

performance, unmistakable Kawasaki power and sound.

The standard exhaust on this bike, is not everyone favorite in the looks department , but in

reality it provides the correct amount of sound feedback, as you know when your planting

the power on or cruising on the freeways with its unmistakable low down torque sound  to

remind you that there is more power.

As a commuter and weekend ride its ideal as you have plenty of torque power on tap

during freeway cruise and plenty zing power to swerve around heavy city traffic and must

not forget the all important stopping power from the dual pod large wave disc brakes-tried

and tested and with its upright seating -gives you ample view of traffic conditions ahead.

All in all a great underrated Kawasaki package, Z750
Cheers
Pabs

Happy 2nd Birthday CCSBR!

In just 2 short years Central Coast Sports Bike Riders has grown from about 6 people to nearly 300 online users and approximately 60+ regular riders. This past two years has been very busy and I personally have made some great friends. The birthday is one of my favorite rides of the year. We all hang out and do the thing we love, ride motorcycles. Thanks to everyone that has been a part of CCSBR of the past two years, I'm sure there will be many more to come.

The day turned out to have the perfect weather. We had all been watching the radar the night before. Holding our breath to see if the rain would stop. It sprinkled in the morning but fined up very quickly. The further turned it on and we had sunny skies all the way to Lake Macquarie!

At West Gosford MacDonalds we took over the car park. 50+ motorcycles of varying makes, models and ages filled the grounds. After a short break to catch and organize the first leg the crew set out with Bladerunner leading the charge.

One of thins I love about this ride is that we slow down and are on show to the public. Little children lined the side of the road through the entrance as the roar of many a sports exhaust rumbled its way through the street. One little sticks in my mind. She stood at the crossing madly having, eyes as wide as they could be. We arrived at the water front taking nearly half the car park once again. The heat was rising and was the mood all the riders and pillions. Many members of the general public came down to have a look at all the bikes, many a wide eyed child in tow!

Heading out from The Entrance we made way through Budgewoi Doyalson and Swansea, some of the most beatufal coastline in Australia. A quick regroup and veryone filed into Lake Macquarie Yacht Club. The club gave us a fantastic location on the lake to sit back and chat, tell lies and catch with a great bunch of people!

All day allI saw was smiles and people having a great time. This ride is possibly one of the best I have ever been on and really shows theindividual and the public what CCSBR is all about! Thankyou to Tim 650, Kurstine, Bladerunner, Draven, Jackal San, Medic all the other group riders that I have forgot and of course Pabs!
